The Secret to Ensure You Win on Tuesday is Within this Post

Regardless of who wins the election on Tuesday, I hope we ALL as Americans, and moreover as Citizens of Planet Earth, choose to usher in a new era of open communication, respect, tolerance and peace. This must become our collective intention.

A Collective Intention So Big It Ushers in a New Era

I believe we will only progress in this world if we each choose tolerance, respect, communication, and peace. By doing so, we do not diminish ourselves. Rather, we become bigger and more powerful, we raise each other up as a species, and we create a better future for our children. We can not only agree to disagree, we can agree to take the time to listen and appreciate different opinions, stories, backgrounds and beliefs.

May we all learn to practice Ahimsa in our daily existence. Ahimsa means we actively abstain from any activity that may cause harm to another being. We actively practice kindness to ALL beings.

The Loving-Kindness meditation is a wonderful place to start to help us actively practice this behavior. A full definition of this meditation can be found at Wikipedia, searching on the term Metta. Here’s an excerpt:

May all beings be free from enmity, affliction and anxiety, and live happily.

There is no time like the present for us to set this new intention. This Tuesday, join me in repeating this mantra “May all beings everywhere live in safety, be happy, be healthy, live with ease.”

If we all do this, regardless of the outcome of the election, we all win.
