And the winner is… Winner of yoga haiku contest

by darla on June 22, 2009

This month we asked our readers to write a yoga haiku. In order to qualify to win the Pink Yogitoes towel, the haiku needed to include a reference to an animal, needed to follow standard haiku syllables and needed to be received by the deadline.

And the winner is…

After much deliberation and conversation over the many entries, we have chosen JiggaRoo’s entry:

swan in still water
calm beating heart and clear mind
yoga, my refuge

A graceful swan

We loved the image the haiku created of strength, grace, and clarity.

Congratulations and thanks to everyone for entering! Stay tuned for our July contest!

Congrats!
I entered in time, but my poem didn’t get approved until after the deadline, so I’m not sure if I was in the contest or not.
