I took a pranayama and meditation class on Thursday. Pranayama has many physiological benefits – calms the nervous system, oxygenates the blood, improves circulation and lots of other fun stuff. More over, it helps calm the mind. I like that.
When focusing on the breath during yoga asanas, I find that it helps me feel the energy of the pose a bit more.
